Schematic design: A multi-purpose courtyard garden for patients, family and caregivers – incorporates physical therapy components required by the facility into an informal garden setting.

Schematic Design: An intensive type roof top garden – using raised planters to create different spaces, semi-public and public, covered and uncovered, orientating garden spaces and pathways towards views of the Front Range, and a ‘forest’ of canopy trees with undulating pathways and rolling lawn areas.

Schematic design: Garden improvement designed within an existing framework to provide a more user friendly and safe outdoor space for dementia care patients, families and caregivers.

The selected scheme – continuous looped pathway – shaded seating areas – important for patients suffering from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia – central shade structure – raised planters for use by residents – planted, secure perimeter – non-poisonous plants.

Courtyard studies for medical office building and adjoining parking structure to provide therapeutic spaces, outdoor retreat, group interaction and options for relaxation.
