Master Planning

The goal of master planning is to present a comprehensive framework to guide an existing developed or proposed land use. Goals and objectives are defined relating to the land use, the existing environment, infrastructure and demographics. Existing conditions of the land are researched and analyzed, opportunities, constraints and environmental impacts are identified and alternative plans are studied. The plans are reviewed with the goals and objectives in mind and a master plan can begin to be established. The physical master plan shows the recommendation for the location, configuration and interrelationships of the proposed land uses.
